  1. S.R. says:

It is “El Gaucho”, not “El Guacho”. A “Gaucho” is a historical figure in Argentina and Uruguay, thats why the argentinian Batman ally is named that way.
    Hope it helps!
    I love this website!

its a stupid spelling mistake sorry

  2. Martin says:

Hey Collin, I just noticed Shadow of the Bat #29 (part of Knight’s End) includes a flashback to “the night after the bat came” where Bruce swings from a rooftop for the first time. I think he couldn’t have had the costume ready one day after the bat came, but it’s worth noting.

  3. Mauricio Riquelme says:

Hello, where it would be “Batman: The Long Halloween Special 1 (2021)?

    • Batman: The Long Halloween Special #1 is a non-canon coda to the “Long Halloween” arc, meant as a standalone continuation of the original Long Halloween and Dark Victory, occurring after Dark Victory but technically set outside the bounds of any particular continuity. Essentially, Batman: The Long Halloween Special #1 creates a Geoff Loeb/Tim Sale-verse in the same way that Dark Knight Returns and All-Star Batman and Robin spawned a separate Miller-verse back in the day. (As an item published in 2021, a full decade after the close of the Modern Age, The Long Halloween Special #1 is not on my Modern Age timeline.)

  4. Luke W says:

I found a few panels in the Justice Society of America 80-Page Giant showing Bruce designing his costume, in case no one found it yet.

  5. Bardia says:

As you stated before most of the later LOTDK are so generic that it’s hard to tell if they take place on early period or post NML. There are some stories that dosen’t give any clue as to where they take place but I personally think that stories that don’t give any hint as to where they take place, could go on early period as opposed to Year 19-23. After all it wouldn’t have been the first time that these kind of stories that don’t give any clue as to where they take place have been placed on early period such as Batman Confidential #40-43 and #49. either way it is up to you to decide if these LOTDK stories would work better as an early period story or not (maby they state that they don’t take place earlier or there are references to the mayors that I missed):
    #179,200,207-211,212.
#207-211 is the most likely to not take place in early period since Gordon is Commissioner and Penguin has his own club which is presumably iceberg lounge although it also could be The Bird’s Nest club from LOTDK #169-171.

    • Hey Bardia, I have minor in-story reasons for Confidential #40-43 and Confidential #49 going in the Early Period, but I hear you on LOTDK. A lot of the stories give no clue whatsoever as to where they take place, and they really could take place just about anywhere. I think LOTDK #207-211, of which you already have doubts that it goes earlier, should stay where it is—but I will make a note about it. In regard to LOTDK #179, LOTDK #200, and LOTDK #212, these really give no context clues whatsoever. I’ll think on the some more, but, either way, I’ll def add a note about them. Thanks!
